Reply from His Holiness Shri Datta Swami to the poem 'O Shyam (Krishna)' of Smt. Chhanda

(Poem by Smt. Chhanda Chandra is enclosed. Click here to read)

Swami replied:

For Me, one human birth is just just one second only,
Don’t aspire to get the divine fruit in this present birth,
People feel that this present life itself is the entire time,
I declare that you have got salvation from worldly bonds.

You did not get mere salvation from the worldly bonds,
This salvation is due to your high devotion to Krishna,
Attachment to God must be reason for your salvation,
Then only, salvation becomes meaningful in real sense.

You are very brave due to God’s grace, it helps you,
From fall caused by the snake-bites over the ladder,
Krishna lying on Shesha, dancing on Kaaliya heads,
Stands as your protector, spiritual success is certain.

[In the board game of Paramapada Sopaana Patam or Moksha Patam, dice are rolled based on which the player’s game token on the board goes up by few ladders (virtues) and falls down by many biting serpents (vices) as the game goes on.]

O Shyam (Krishna)

(A poem on His Holiness Shri Datta Swami by Smt. Chhanda)

O Shyam (Krishna), You are residing in each and every cell of my body
(God pervades the entire universe in effective sense though not in literal sense)
What more shall I ask from You, O Lord of the universe, O Antaryaami?

I have broken the bond of every worldly expectation,
And with joy, I've left everything to You.
O my God, why should I think about anything, when You know all Your works?
What more shall I ask from You, O Lord of the universe, O Antaryaami?
O Shyam (Krishna), You are residing in each and every cell of my body

The dust particle that finds a place at Your divine feet, (whoever gets it)
He will know, that pebble automatically turns into a diamond.
O my Lord! see how the most fortunate soul I became,
As You allowed me to stay at Your divine feet, my divine abode.
What more shall I ask from You, O Lord of the universe, O Antaryaami?
O Shyam (Krishna), You are residing in each and every cell of my body

Is it possible for anybody to recognize the purpose of Your deeds?
He only can recognise it who is just like You,
What can we say about Your deeds, only can name it as good or bad.
What more shall I ask from You, O Lord of the universe, O Antaryaami?
O Shyam (Krishna), You are residing in each and every cell of my body

(Antaryaami:- Inner controller, Shyam:- Light black)
