1. Find out his location of missing person.
[By Aradhana]
Swami replied: What do you mean by this?
2. Please guide me on the spiritual path to attain immortality and self-realization.
[A question by Gurumaheshwaran]
Swami replied: O Learned and Devoted Servants of God! The soul is already immortal and the body is always perishable. For what do you require immortality? Self-realization means understanding your own capacity so that you will clearly understand that you are not God because your self is neither omniscient nor omnipotent.
3. Will You help me interpret my dreams, if I tell them to You?
[A question by Akudo]
Swami replied: Most dreams are insignificant because they are just reflections of the thought-impressions acquired by you during the waking state.
4. How can I overcome the negativity in my mind and hold on to Your feet constantly?
[Ms. Amudha asked: Padanamaskaram Swamiji! You have blessed us with unconditional love, given infinite grace and a blissful life. You are the Creator, Maintainer and Destroyer of all. I am nothing without You. You have provided a lot of opportunities and are holding us every nanosecond. But I am not doing anything in terms of studying spiritual knowledge and it is my own fault.
Why am I not able to hold on to Your feet constantly? I am in a state in which I feel heavy in mind. I am doing nothing. I have no interest in anything. I am just passing my time, playing with communication gadgets. I do not know what is wrong with me. I have many thoughts in my mind about my mother, relatives and friends. The mind is so heavy. Is it because of my bad qualities or deeds or due to my ego or due to some other reason? I do not know. I am in such a state of mind that I am wondering why I am still alive. What is the use of it? And I have the feeling that I want to be alone. A lot of negativity is there in the mind about myself and I am unable to overcome it. Please forgive me, if there is any mistake in my way of asking this question to You. At Your divine lotus feet, Amudha]
Swami replied: Keep your mind stable by engaging in some activity of your interest. If you have a liking for spiritual knowledge, that is the best way because it is the grace of God alone that can save us, at any place and at any time. The mind will be unstable if it is not engaged in some systematic activity. Knowing one’s own defects is a good sign. It gives us an opportunity to rectify those defects. At the same time, brooding over the defects continuously is also not good for mental health. The past is past. The second that has passed can never be brought back. The analysis of that past second must help us in the present second and in the future second. If that is not happening, the analysis of the past is not only a waste, but also harmful for the present and the future. If you cannot concentrate on spiritual knowledge, at least you can concentrate on a systematic worldly life (pravṛtti). You should either be on this middle level of worldly life, which is like the earth (pravṛtti) or in the sky of spiritual life (nivṛtti). You should never fall downward to the unethical and non-spiritual life. Since you have true love for God, God will certainly help you in your worldly life (pravṛtti) as well as in your future spiritual life (nivṛtti).
