[An online spiritual discussion was conducted on January 09, 2021, in which several devotees participated. Some of the questions of devotees answered by Swāmi are given below.]
[Shri Karthik asked: Does “Trikarmedhma dāhānalāya” in Your composition “Śrī Datta Navaratna” mean the destruction of the āgāmi, sañcita and prārabdha karmas? These are: (1) the fruits of deeds that are yet to be received, (2) the soul’s inherent qualities and (3) the fruits of deeds that have fructified and are to be enjoyed in the present birth, respectively. Or does it refer to the three types of action namely, satkarma (prescribed action), akarma (inaction), vikarma (prohibited action)?]
Swāmi replied: “Trikarmedhma dāhānalāya” means that we bow down to that fire-like God Datta, who burns our sañcita, prārabdha and āgāmi karmas, as if they were three dry sticks (idhma).
