।।अत्रिप्रियपुत्रमाश्रये।।

अत्रि-प्रिय-पुत्रमाश्रये। दत्तं भार्गव-प्रणत-चरणम्॥ (पल्लवी)

I surrender to the beloved son of Atri; to Datta; to the One at whose feet is Paraśurāma.

ज्ञानाभरणं, मायावरणं, भक्तोद्धरणं, त्रिगुणकरणम् ।

(I surrender) To the One whose ornament is His knowledge;
To the One who is hidden behind the illusion created by Him;
To the Uplifter of devotees;
To the One who plays with the three fundamental qualities (sattvam, rajas and tamas).

निजानुचर-वर-कोटित्रय सुर-कर-सेवाऽमोद-भरम् ।

(I surrender) To the One who is highly pleased with the service rendered by three crores of angels, who are His followers.

अमेय-शम-दम-समत्व-मति-गति-विमुक्ति-करवरदम् ॥
(I surrender) To the One who grants the boon of salvation, which is unassuming practical control over the self.
