Bhakti Ganga (Devotional Songs) — English  Telugu  Hindi

bhairavāya te

bhairavāya te kālabhairavāya te |

pradakṣiṇāni me deva mūḍhabhaktasya (pallavī)

O Kālabhairava! Around You alone, O Kālabhairava, do I revolve (circumambulate) devotedly. I am just a foolish devotee.

kāśikāpurī-kṣetraloka-pālanam

piṅgalekṣaṇa-sphuraṇa-mātrameva te |

bhuvana-bhāṇḍaka-pralaya-bhasma-kārako

garjanoddhata-dhvani-kaṇastava-prabho ||

The entire administration of the pious Kāśī city runs just by a spark appearing in Your red coloured eyes. O Lord! A tiny trace of Your thundering voice is enough to cause the final dissolution of this universe-pot turning it to ash!

aṣṭasiddhayo'pyaṣṭa-bhūtibhissaha

bhūtanātha te karuṇaleśa-sambhavāḥ |

sārameyavat tvayi samarpitā'rthinām

bodhayatyaho śunakavāhanaṁ tava ||

The eight miraculous powers along with the eight prosperities, Arise from just a tiny trace of Your kindness, O Lord of ghosts! This happens provided the blessed receiver surrenders to You like a dog. To preach this concept, You have made a mighty dog as Your vehicle.

aruṇavāsasaṁ bhaikṣya-bhastrikābhujam

sā'gnipātrakaṁ pṛthulamārjanīdharam |

śmaśrubhīkaraṁ kāladaṇḍamaṇḍitam

kālikāpatiṁ kālakālamāśraye ||

To You, who is wearing a bright red cloth and who has a bag hanging from the shoulder for collecting alms (begging); To You, who is carrying a big bowl of flaming fire in one hand and a broomstick in another; To You, who has a frightening moustache on the face, and who is carrying the strong stick of Time (death) called the Kāla Daṇḍa.  To You, who is the husband of the very powerful Mahā Kālī! To You, who are the death (Kāla) of even the deity of death (Kāla; Yama), I surrender.
