Taptāsmaḥ Mātaḥ Taptāsmaḥ - Madhusūdana Sati, Maṅgalavati!
We are dried, O Mother! We are dried by poverty, O wife of Madhusūdana! O deity of auspiciousness!
{People who have sufficient wealth blessed by Śrī Mahālakṣmīn should sing the Pallavī otherwise. When one is blessed with excess wealth, it brings lot of physical and psychological problems. If one wants to be away from the problems created by excess money and regain lost peace, one should read the Pallavī as follows:
Tṛptāsmaḥ Mātaḥ Tṛptāsmaḥ - Madhusūdana Sati, Maṅgalavati!
We are satisfied, O Mother! We are satisfied by wealth, O wife of Madhusūdana! O deity of auspiciousness!
At the end of each caraṇam, same pallavī/chorus should be repeated}
Vātsalyāmṛta harṣa varṣiṇi Rukmiṇi - vanamāli manovāsini!
vande vidarbha nandini - śrī vāsudevānanda-sundari!
O Rukmiṇi! Raining cloud of affection-happiness! Staying in heart of the Lord with Tulasī garland, O daughter of king of Vidarbha! my Salutations to you, O most beautiful lady of Lord Śrī Vāsudeva!
{Devotee prays to the human incarnation, Śrī Kṛṣṇa to fulfil several materialistic desires. It means, devotees pray to the human incarnation of Viṣṇu. To come out from the clutches of poverty and get wealth, the devotee must pray to mother Rukmiṇī. It means, devotee must pray to the human incarnation of Lakṣmī. Kṛṣṇa being the human incarnation, is closer to the devotee than the energetic incarnation Viṣṇu. Similarly, Rukmiṇī, being the human incarnation, is closer to the devotee than the energetic incarnation Lakṣmī. Hence, it is better for the souls to pray to Rukmiṇī-Śrī Kṛṣṇa}
asmākaṃ sadane carati - tava cañcala-kiṅkiṇikā-caraṇe,
santata-cintāmaṇigaṇa - santāna dāyini kā cintā?
As long as Your feet ornamented by gold anklets, Move in our residence with sounding tiny bells, Delivering crowds of ‘Cintāmaṇi’ divine gems, Which fulfil all the desires, why to worry at all?
{Goddess Rukmiṇī is moving in our house, for every step, she is delivering heaps of Cintāmaṇis – precious gems. One Cintāmaṇi is itself more than enough to fulfil all human desires. Then why to worry for wealth and money.}
