(Sung by Smt. Devi)
Janma sthiti laya mūlaṃ Datta!
Sāmānyamidaṃ Brahmaṇaste ।। (Pallavī)
(O God Datta! the creation, maintenance and destruction of this world is told commonly to Īśvara (Yourself) and Brahman.)
Vede dvidhā sūtre Brahma,
Gītāyāṃ tva Mīśa uktaḥ ।।
(In the Veda, both Brahma and Īśvara are mentioned. In the Brahma Sūtrams only, Brahma is mentioned. In the Gītā only Īśvara (Yourself) is mentioned.)
{In the Veda, both Brahma and Īśvara are mentioned as creator, maintainer and destroyer of this world—Yato vā imāni..., Sa idam.... In the Brahma Sūtram—Athāto Brahma Jijñāsā, janmādyasya.... In the Gītā—Ahaṃ Sarvasya Jagataḥ Prabhavaḥ Pralayaḥ tathā, Mayi sarvamidaṃ protam....}
Etasmāt Tvaṃ nohyaṃ Brahma,
Sopādhistvaṃ nirupadhiḥ Tattu ।।
(Therefore, You are the unimaginable God or ParaBrahman. You are the mediated ParaBrahman whereas ParaBrahman is non-mediated.)
Liṅgatraya masa danūhya Tattve,
Śākteyo'pi Vedāntī hi ।।
(In the unimaginable ParaBrahman, all the three genders are impossible. Hence, unimaginable God or unimaginable power of God can’t be isolated. Therefore, the Śākteya (the devotee of power or Śakti) and Vedāntin (the devotee of possessor of power) are one and the same.)
