[Śrī Anil asked: Could You please respond to this Muslim devotee who says that Christianity is irrational.
The Muslim devotee said: I am a Muslim. Christianity is dependent on the doctrine of the sacrifice of Jesus for others’ sins. All Christians have strong feelings when they know that an innocent, sinless man died for sinners like us. This makes them believe in Christianity to go to heaven. Christianity is irrational by believing in the Trinity as well as the oneness of God. The Bible itself contradicts this basic core doctrine of the divine Trinity (God is not man (Hosea 11:9). God cannot change (Malachi 3:6). The Father is the only true God (John 17:3). The Bible also contradicts the doctrine of the sacrifice for sins (Nobody dies for sin of others (Ezekiel 18:32). God promised to save Jesus from any harms (Psalms 91).]
Swami replied: Once a person’s intelligence is blinded, the person clings to a concept without analyzing it. There is no use of arguing with such a rigid soul. God is taken to be the father, but every father is not God. The Veda also says that God can be worshipped as the father and not that one’s father is God. One’s own father is a just human being with so many defects. God has no defects.
