Is it true that Lord Subrahmanya resides in us in the form of kundalini?

[Śrī Veena Datta asked: While discussing with a devotee, he said that Subrahmaṇya Swami is nothing but the kuṇḍalinī within us. I could correlate that with Your bhajan on Lord Subrahmaṇya Swāmi “Caitanya śaktiyau kuṇḍalinī nīvegā”. Every soul possesses caitanya within him, but every soul cannot be Lord Subrahmaṇya. So, how can we understand this?]

Swāmi replied: Garuḍa is a kite, but every kite is not Garuḍa. Nandi is a bull, but every bull is not Nandi. Ādi Śeṣa is a serpent, but every serpent is not Ādi Śeṣa. Kṛṣṇa is a human being, but every human being is not Kṛṣṇa. Our prime minister is an Indian, but every Indian is not the Prime Minister. All ores are minerals, but all minerals are not ores. All gentlemen are human beings, but all human beings are not gentlemen. I think this is sufficient to understand the concept. Kuṇḍalinī or the mind is the awareness-energy travelling in the form of waves like a serpent. That mind exists in every human being. Kuṇḍalinī itself is not God Subrahmaṇya. Only the kuṇḍalinī present in Incarnations is God Subrahmaṇya. Śrī Ramaṇa Maharṣi was an Incarnation of God Subrahmaṇya. The kuṇḍalinī present in Ramaṇa Maharṣi alone is God Subrahmaṇya.
