[Smt. Sudha Rani asked:- Swami, You said that God Krishna enjoyed the fruits of sins done by Gopikas so that He underwent the punishment twice (one time for the sake of Gopika and another time on behalf of Himself). A special exceptional rule is created by God for His convenience. Is it not a black mark on the part of God Krishna? Moreover, till now, Your explanation about Krishna suffering the punishments was not available anywhere and hence, the imitation-sin of the public till now should be cancelled. Isn’t it?]
Swami replied:- This point of enjoying the fruit of the deed of somebody else is not an exceptional rule. It is a common rule only that is applicable among the souls. The half of merit fruit of the good deed of doing worship by the husband is enjoyed by the wife. The reason is that in that time, the wife is preparing the food and half of it is enjoyed by the husband. This rule is based on general logic, which is applied to the general public souls. Should you not apply the rule that is framed for the sake of public to the ruler also because the ruler is also a member of the public only? Hence, God can enjoy the punishment-fruit of the sin of His devotee based on the above said general rule. The logic in this case is that the devotee proved God to be higher than even justice and is prepared to go to hell for the sake of injustice done by him/her. This proves the climax devotion of the devotee for God.
The devotee gave more importance to God than his/her suffering in hell. For such unimaginable devotion, God is very much pleased to undergo the punishment of the injustice done by the devotee for the sake of God giving more importance to God than justice in Nivrutti. The Gopikas already proved this. God Krishna got a false headache and wanted the dust of the feet of a devotee to be applied on His forehead to get rid of the headache. The Gopikas were prepared to give the dust of their feet for the happiness of God and for that sinful deed, they were prepared to go to hell. They gave their feet-dust to Sage Narada even though Sage threatened them that they will go to hell for such action. God taking the punishment of the sin of devotee is clearly seen in the case of several incarnations of God Datta. Shirdi Sai Baba took the TB disease from the devotee called Taatyaa. Now, you have to add these two following points derived from the above explanation:-
Taking the punishment of the sin of the devotee balances the deity of justice since already there is a general rule that one soul can enjoy the fruit of the deed of the other soul (case of husband and wife as said above). Hence, correlating all these different points from various corners, the conclusion of God protecting the devotee from his/her sins is possible and is also justified logically. For this, God is not exhibiting the nature of a rowdy showing His highest status of power. If such power is shown in this critical point, it will be a black mark that is attributed on the black body of Krishna so that the mark may be invisible! The personality of God is not such rude and cheap, but is very much justified because He is always the establisher of justice destroying injustice.
God Krishna already indicated this point in the Bhagavad Gita by saying that the climax Nivrutti devotee shall vote for God even against justice. This means the devotee must be prepared even to do injustice for the sake of God. He also told that He will protect such devotee from the suffering of punishment of that sin (Sarvadharmān…) since that injustice or sin is done for the sake of God. This verse applies to the Bhagavatam, where the Gopikas were tested in choosing God or justice. Preservation of wealth (butter) for children is justice and the wealth shall be protected from outside thieves. Hence, justice is that Gopikas must protect their wealth (butter), that is preserved for their children. This is full justice as per Pravrutti. The Gopikas shall also be faithful and loyal to their husbands as per the justice of Pravrutti. The essence of Pravrutti-justice is that the soul must love wealth, children and husband. The love for these three worldly items is called Eshanaatrayam. Now, God Krishna is competing with these three worldly bonds on behalf of Nivrutti. The Gopikas are not ordinary human souls, which are confined to Pravrutti-Justice only. They are sages doing penance for God and salvation from millions of births. God wanted to give them the final tests of these three strongest worldly bonds. If they vote for God Krishna against this Pravrutti justice, which is the love for these three strongest worldly bonds, then only they can succeed in Nivrutti to attain the salvation from worldly bonds (Moksha) and union with God (Saayujyam). This concept is already told in the Gita through the above mentioned verse. Only the background logical analysis is now given by God Datta, who is the topmost expert in giving correlation of critical points in the explanation. The concept is in the Gita and its reference is in the Bhagavatam. The above explanation is a link between the Gita and the Bhagavatam.
God Krishna underwent the punishment to protect both the deity of justice and devotees. God Datta was incarnating from the beginning of the creation and was explaining every point. How can you say that this point is not known to the public till now? The explanation was buried by intellectual sinners so that they can do the sins by imitation. The sinners are always unable to control their sinful nature. In such case, the explanation of imitation sin is buried so that it will be convenient to do the sin of imitation showing God as an example. People always exposed and protected the points, which are convenient to them and always buried the points, which are inconvenient to them. This point is also told by God Krishna in the Gita, which is that the complete path to unite with God is lost in course of time (Sa kāleneha mahatā, yogo naṣṭaḥ paraṃtapa). Incorrect knowledge is dangerous. Incomplete correct knowledge is, in fact, more dangerous.
