Why are God's words said to be sharper than a double-edged sword?

[Shri Anil asked: Swami, kindly give the inner meaning of Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”]

Swami replied: God is said to be a double-edged sword and this is a very very important point in the judgment given by Him. He does not simply follow a written constitution and give His judgment blindly based on the legal violations. Since God is omniscient, there is no need of any witnesses. The other side of the sword represents His knowledge of the truth that is not expressed by the witness.
