Why does the God Brahma have a low profile in Hinduism?

[Questions from internet forum brought by Shri Anil]

1. Why does the creator God Brahma have a low profile in Hinduism?

Swami replied:- All the Sages, who are considered to have even the higher profile than angels, worshipped God Brahma as their ultimate divine form. As time passed, the standards of spiritual knowledge came down and everybody was fond of materialistic boons. God Brahma is the embodiment of true spiritual knowledge and is the author of all the Vedas and all the Shastras.

2. Why does God Brahma look like an old man?

Swami replied:- God Brahma is the creator of all souls. But, somehow, there is a misunderstanding that God Brahma is closely related to Brahmanas. These Brahmanas did some mistakes in the beginning of Kali age due to which other castes became furious and they expressed their grudge not only on Brahmanas, but also on God Brahma. The fact is that any energetic being of the upper energetic worlds is never more than thirty years age and hence, is called ‘Tridasha’ (Tridaśā ssurāḥ). Depicting God Brahma in negative manner shows their misguided vengeance on Him. In this way, within Hinduism, this is an unfortunate development. Gods (like Vishnu and Shiva) are considered to be the parents and God Brahma is the creator and thus, was treated as Grandfather, who is naturally misunderstood to be in old age. This is another unfortunate misunderstanding that lead to the misinterpretation. God Brahma is famous for His beautiful face with red colour and shining radiation called ‘Brahma Tejas’. God Datta is the first energetic incarnation of Parabrahman or unimaginable-unmediated God. God Brahma is the first energetic incarnation of God Datta.
