Why is it that a specific God is worshiped on a specific day of the week? (1 of 4)

Swāmi replied: O Learned and Devoted Servants of God! God is only one, but He appears to be different Gods due to different external media. Seeking multiplicity is the nature of human mind. So, for different external forms of God, different days of the week are assigned. Thus, we can worship one form of God everyday, resulting in the continuous worship of God. The absolute God is one and He is unimaginable to any human intelligence. The external media alone are different. These external media can either be human forms of God that are imaginable and visible or energetic forms of God that are imaginable and invisible. The Veda clearly says that there is no multiplicity in the case of God (Neha nānā’sti kiñcana...). Multiplicity only exists in creation. The Gītā also says that God seems to be divided in the form of different external media, but He is actually undivided (Avibhaktaṃ vibhakteṣu, vibhaktamiva ca sthitam...). The external name and form belong to creation, whereas, the internal unimaginable entity is God, who is called Parabrahman.
