Explanation:
All the three above-mentioned bodies [1] are basically one and the same inert energy. The awareness is nothing but a special work of inert energy. The matter is a condensed form of inert energy. Hence, in all the three bodies the basic material is only inert energy. Hence, there is no superiority of any body over the other body.
Note:
Isn’t awareness superior to inert energy, since it has the property of knowing?
The superiority of awareness is only the superiority in function. The working element is the inert energy alone. The gross body is made up of matter. What is matter? Matter is a condensed form of inert energy. Awareness is a special work function of inert energy. In all the three, what is the real material? It is inert energy alone. So there is a commoness of inert energy in all the three bodies. In all the three, the working element and the worker are one and the same—basically there is no difference—and that is inert energy alone. If you take a scholar and an illiterate person, basically there is no difference. Both are human beings.
[1] The three bodies of a human being are: (i) the physical or gross body (jada sharira), (ii) the subtle or mental body (sukshma sharira or jiva) which is the bundle of thoughts, feelings and tendencies of a person and (iii) the causal body (karana sharira or Atman), which is the soul or the basic awareness.
