भ्रमस्य समतापि दत्त! पदसाम्यता सम्भ्रमः ।
अकर्तरि न कर्तृता घन चिदीक्षणात्तैजसे

Phalaṃ na tava māyayā phala mavidyayā 'smādṛśāṃ
Bhramasya samatāpi Datta! Padasāmyatā sambhramaḥ ।
Akartari na kartṛtā ghana cidīkṣaṇāttaijase
Karoti na hi ko'pi pāpamiha dharmadhenūddhara ! ।। 4
[O God Datta! The word Māyā means that which is inherently non-existing but, exists due to the existence of the basic substratum. This illusion is common to both Your knowledge-illusion (Vidyāmāyā) and the ignorance-illusion (Avidyāmāyā) of souls like us. Both are mistaken as one and the word Māyā is commonly used for both cases. Due to Your Māyā there is no sin, but, due to the Māyā of the souls, sin is possible. To explain Your Māyā, unreal energy appeared on Your reality and the energy became real. Similarly, matter and awareness appeared on energy and became real. This Māyā is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the world and this is not sin. Ignorant people superimpose doership on You, Who is the non-doer and try to blame You to be responsible for their sins. Based on the illusion of energy, matter and awareness nobody is doing sin in this world (The original created items like energy, matter and awareness do not provoke sin because souls are not developing any fascination towards them. Only their modified items provoke sin due to the fascination of the souls towards those items.). You are against sin since You have uplifted and protected the deity of justice in the form of cow. How can You be responsible for even a trace of sin done by the souls! {In the above verse, only solid (ghana) state of matter is indicated since it can represent the other two states of matter, which are liquid and gas also.}]
